I bid and won one on ebay, the person was nice and took it back since it wasn't running after 5 minutes. Would play and sounded pretty good out of box. Then after playing for 5 minutes or so, tried to record. Nothing happened. Motor in back and belt seemed OK, but mechanisms near face were frozen.Seemed like it was an easy fix, my tech relative suggested dirt in certain place and fixed these before.
(forgot the details now, but it's related to dirty gears--he made a small hole in one plastic area with a hot soldering iron so that he could get to the place and lubed it, works according to him).
