I was always frustrated by the fiddling with the system given this flexability as well as the ramifications in one band of changes in another.I have also heard several professionally done rooms where the owners no longer use the equipment.
I have spent a great amount of time positioning speakers and using room treatments. These have low WAF but they are satisfying and work.
