"all line stages are constant current Class A designs"I have heard this before but I don't understand. A single ended stage will draw constant current if you look a one whole sinewave, but if you look at the current draw moment by moment the draw is anything but constant.
Now if you have Class A push pull then the current draw is constant moment by moment (assuming linear tubes).
I guess I'm asking if a single ended Class A stage is considered constant current what is a single ended Class A stage with a CCS for a plate load? Super constant current?
To me constant current is when the supply, including the decoupling cap, does not see any AC.
