I agree with the gentleman that the red range DO NOT sound as full or rich as the ISA blue series. For recording vocals you must try the Summit Audio TLA100, not the stereo one(no headroom) It's fantastic.I've mixed about 13 albums with the 02r and what we ended up doing was taking the D/A out to a manley comp and then to a Focusrite ISA 215 eq(to make up for the D/A haha) and back through 24 bit TC electronics converters with multiband Limiting to a Creamware workstation. there is no question that the only way to achieve the oomph that hip-hop requires is with analog compression and digital multiband 'limiting' at the end. Digital 'compression' is crap. Even the compressors on the AMS Logic 2 are sad compared to the manley.
