I've got the 1K resistor on a switch in one amp, but so far I have only listened with the 1K in circuit. Ralph suggested that the diff was so subtle I might not hear it unless both monoblocks were switched off. So I need to install a switch in the other monoblock, soon. Interesting to me that another guy on this Asylum reported that his M60s or M50s (I forget which) have no 1K resistor at all, from stock.
