Hi, sound like you have a very good point! The transformer beside been usually 600 times slower than a solid wire use on a push pull amp such as SEPPT does not have the same hysteresis loss as conventional push pull amp yet they will sound bad if using bad quality steel lamination, same to SET. A bad iron never sound any good regardless of hysteresis or not, right, but there is a chance that SEPPT will sound good if all is well, do you try to Zero on your own amp if so how much worse thanks.
