Michael,Tre' emailed me directly and asked, "Could Michael have a point? Would the coupling within the output stage of the amplifier be tighter if the ground reference resistors were eliminated and the center tap on the zero's grounded? The down side is the zero's would need to be close to the amp."
I thought about it a bit and I think guys you are correct. It always bothered me that when the amplifier goes into A2 operation the grid current needed to return through the 600 ohm resistors thus upsetting (lessening) the bias setting. The center tap of the ZEROs (used as an autoformer or just an inductor) will give a low impedance return path. Removal of the 600 ohm resistors should not provide any benefits, so I think they could just stay in place.
Good thinking guys!
