The Dyna-stats are of course hybrid spkrs (dyna + stat), so I would expect a benefit from the autoformers related to the low frequency impedance dip associated with dynamic woofers, and conversely since the Dynastats are not likely to attain the max impedance associated with full-range ESLs in the bass region, this would be an additional factor suggesting that autoformers would be efficacious. (Similarly, I would expect the autoformers to work well with the many Martin-Logan hybrid spkrs.) I guess someone will just have to try autoformers with a conventional (i.e., non-Martin-Logan) full- range ESL to see what happens. I have to try the plumber's tubing thing first, however. (I think that was my assignment.)
