Lowthers on front horns are wonderfull, adictive, sweet and coherent, If you are listening to only girl with guitar music and dont mind getting addicted to the shout, or missing some things from the music, I guess one could live with lowthers for life. They sound so good on front horns I think its a sin to put them on an OB.
If you are a more serious music lover, compression drivers (and of course FLH) are way more detailed, yes they are also sweet and involving, (probably not so romantic) but the are accurate and will play any kind of music at its best, the most complicated music is at home with compression drivers, nothing will get away from your speakers. I do believe compression drivers on front horns are the end of the road for serious audiophiles, the lower freq. you can cover the better.
Of course there are crappy compression or cone drivers everywhere...
