I have been against the use of treatment CD/SACD sprays, most of them cloud earlier Sonopress SACDs and this is why Telarc warns not to use them. But zero residue cleaners are a whole different animal as they only remove dirt and whatever mold release compound is on the disc and leave nothing behind except a perfectly clean disc. I use Shine Ola, which is a zero residue cleaner and should be safe. Also I don't recommend using CD mats for the same reason I don't recommend playing DualDisc, the thickness and increased weight.
And lens cleaners are necessary unless you don't mind getting inside the machine to the laser and doing it manually.
Neither of these could possible be the cause of the Hybrid SACD/CD problem because the other media: Single Layer SACDs, CDs, CD-Rs, DVD-Videos including Dual layer DVD-Movies play perfectly.
So the cause is either the optics in the players losing the ability to recognize an SACD or the design of the TOC information the Hybrid SACDs themselves.
