...Over two years old. Purchased from SonyStyle.com for $250. Has seen VERY heavy use as both a DVD and CD/SACD player with no hardware problems at all.I've been very happy with the unit, as I have been with ALL of my Sony purchases. My only beef with Sony is their lack of interest in promoting the format they created.
As I've said before, my interest in purchasing single-layer SACDs is almost nil. If I can't get music off of a disc regardless of what machine I'm using, it's essentially "defective" to me, and I will only pay a fraction of the normal selling price.
Single-layer SACD was a moronic idea. It won't be coming back.
