The player was stock except for the firmware upgrade to eliminate the noise busrt issue. It NEVER failed to play any cd or sacd I put into it. I used it 5-10 hours per week. I recently sold it and moved to a Cayin SCD-50T (for the tubed output capability). I hope I get a similar experience with that player. So far, so good (but it's only 4 months old).
