Could be I am pre-judging from the better discreet Reel to Reel Quad of the 70's, Dolby Digital of the 90's, and the less than perfect demo rooms for Surround SACD at Stereo Stores. For movies I have always preferred 2 channel as the phantom center image is better with no center speaker because of compromises of having a center speaker and TV in the same space with floor standing Right and Left speakers. How did you get around this limitation?I like only ambiance from the rear and at a level I cannot hear as anything noticeable at all from the rear is to me a distraction of what is happening on stage.
If it does indeed work better than Quad it really seems complicated to do it correctly and expensive to do it right.
