Because I have hard several people state that they *know* they won't like SACD multi-channel because they didn't like Quad, or probably even a worse comparison, because they don't like home theater. It's the proverbial "apples and oranges" to compare multi-channel SACD to either. (Although I must admit I never heard a quad system but written and oral history tells me that it was polls apart from multi-channel SACD).
