Symphonie Fantastique -- this one was reissued, I think, chiefly because of the performance. Munch's later version (early 60s) is much better sounding, but the performance is not as compelling.The sound of the Franck has always been problematic, even since it was first issued, although this is the most listenable version so far.
Pine of Rome/La Mer--as somebody pointed out recently on this forum, the highs are over prominent. Somebody goofed in the control room.
New World--yes, I don't think the performance is that good. The sound is a little off, too--the woodwinds don't seen to want to "center", at least on my system (2-channel).
Agree about the "unqualified successes", except that I noticed a little distortion in the Rubinstein on the last movement of the Les Adieux. I would definitely add Pictures at an Exhibition to your list--perhaps the best-sounding Living Stereo ever (and a great performance).
