I believe this is why on many new highend processors they come with a small video screen built it. I feel your pain and it is why I have resisted DVD-A all this time. Anytime you have to use a video display to do audio, I am out. It is one of the reasons I have chosen SACD 5.0 for now. For concert DVDs I use another system set up mainly for 5.1 video, movies etc. I know that I am being lazy in that I just want to put the audio disc in and walk back to my listening chair. Now we all know why there is a disc tray oprating button on our remotes. Time to chance the default settings to another format. Good luck.
