both my current Pioneer 578 and my older Panasonic allowed me to divert Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS to analog. If you can do that in the Marantz 7600, just use the analog connections (you already have to use them for SACD and DVD-A, as you seem to realize). You will probably lose only the older Dolby Surround and the DSP enhancment modes. but the basic Dolby/DTS decoding will probably be just as good as if you sent it to the receiver as a digital bitstream signal.
