Why are you switching the format of the digital output? Are you trying to use the digital output for DVD-A and SACD? You can't for SACD and only in limited applications for DVD-A. So, the way to do this is to leave the digital output set bitstream/5.1 and use 6 analog interconnects for DVD-A/SACD. Then all you need to do is choose the appropriate input for the disc in use on the receiver.Kal
