For these reasons, it seems reasonable to conclude that "live" recordings can be musically very satisfying, but will never represent the absolute state of the recording art. Reactions, anyone?Except that there are many socially excellent live recordings where the audience is completely inaudible. Clearly the problem with the LSO label is venue.
