what do you mean by "full range"? Is it a usable response all the way down to 20Hz and possibly even lower? If that is the case you may find you cannot achieve that due to room constraints, no matter how much money you pour into speakers and subwoofers.
Take my room as an example. My main speakers are spec'ed down to 36 Hz. However, in real life, depending on listening position, i either get a gradual (but linear) decline in response below 80 Hz or a usable response down to 30 Hz due to wall reflection reinforcement. The difference between these two extremes is just a matter of moving my head around a bit.
My subwoofer has a usable response down to 26 Hz but the response is not linear from 26 Hz to 80 Hz.
What I have found is that it is extraordinarily difficult to get a combined response from main speaker + subwoofer that is "flatter" than just using the main speaker alone, no matter where you set the filter slope and cut-off point and relative volume levels. With multiple main speakers and subwoofers I suspect this will be almost impossible.
So it depends on what is important to you - to be able to hear the lowest notes, or a less coloured but not as deep sound? i prefer the latter.
