That would actually be my preference, but it would probably mean purchasing full-range speakers for all channels. - The Maggie 3.6 units currently sell for around $4,500 and are around 6 feet tall. - Don't think my wife is going to go for that. Another possible solution is to run the analog signals from the front left/right line-level outputs through a seperate stereo preamp and feed one set of (full-range) outputs from the preamp to the woofer with proper crossover settings, the other outputs going to the power amp driving the fronts. While a compromise, I think much of the bass would be present in the front channels.
