I'm not big on the extras but my current player does DVD-A better so it is a no-brainer on what to buy for me if there is a choice. I took my DV9600 over to a friend's house who has a Sony XA-9000ES and we compared the SACD vs. DVD-A version of "Gaucho." It was interesting. We liked elements of both. I don't have any Telarc DVD-As, just SACDs. I have just under 300 hi-rez discs with about 225 SACDs and about 10 or so DADs and I don't really care which format hi-rez is available on. I don't think he's ever listed or mentioned his system. I can't ever recall seeing a post where he mentions anything he uses in the system. Perhaps he already uses a universal player? Perhaps he does not even have a DVD-A player and just likes the DD or DTS surround mixes? He seems to make comments about DVD-Vs that have hi-rez PCM about as often as DVD-A and seems to ignore the fact it is not a DVD-A with his posts and peoples replies. I've seen him ignore peoples questions as to what is in his system so for all we know he has a HT in a box that does DVD-V.
