I don't have a problem with that (or anything else they want to do - I did not care whether they split the hi-rez forums or not when they did) but to be fair he has and will and so will likely others start posting about 16/48 DualDisc stuff being hi-rez. How many posts did we see about Sony DualDiscs with 16/48 and abandoning SACD. Perhaps the forum name should be be changed to "24 Bit Hi-Rez" and leave it at that. Personally, unless it impacts someone's stock portfolio, I don't see the need to bash or make negative comments about anything hi-rez. When I had separate players incl. a Modwright XA-777ES I'd generally buy the SACD when Universal Music did both formats. Today, with my Marantz DV9600, I buy the DVD-A version as my playback chain does that better.
