Quite a complement, coming as it does from a (sort of) competitor. I don't have the engineering knowledge to appreciate the nuances of the design. I do, however, believe that I have the ears to be able to say that, within my system, of the 7-8 amps (both tubed and SS) that I have tried at length, the MX-Rs stand hand and shoulders above them all - and not by a small margin either. Reminds me of the Blowtorch in that respect :-)
