The Democrats had 4 years to show us what they are and what they stand for , how they could run this country and as a result, you have the world on fire, w wars in too many places, unfettered crime in America, un-vetted illegal immigration and their impact in our communities, rampant give away programs fueling inflation...."did they say "inflation REDUCTION act?" Using the federal agencies to go after its administration opponents, "men in girls locker rooms and competing in girls sports as trans folks, not knowing what a woman is.....etc etc
Lets not forget Prices of all goods ramped significantly up during the last few years...
can anyone tell us what they did right?
Follow Ups:
Good list- let's add spent FEMA money to house, feed and take care of illegal immigrants and were nearly no show for those in need after the flooding in N. Carolina. Depleted National emergency petroleum reserves. Lost track of 320,000 immigrant minors with many likely used in sex trade. Pulled our military out of Afghanistan before removing American citizens, totally botched that deal that got 13 American soldiers killed when no American soldier had Lost their life in 18 months. Joe shit his pants in front of the Pope.
New roads, electric lines, sidewalks. Great park and sports areas enjoyed by crowds and my dog. Full restaurants making me wonder where the hell those people get the money from and all new SUVs and pickup trucks. Lots of construction work on new homes, admittedly in an affluent areas mostly.
I wouldn't be so critical of a Team A if not for foreign policy debacles. This coming from people with decades of diplomatic experience. Can't explain it
Biden's $7.5 billion investment in EV charging has only produced 7 stations in two years
From the Washington Post

confusing the issue with facts!
My EV works great around the golf course. :)
Which they installed a couple of weeks ago. So far, I haven't seen any Caddy Escalade charging there:) nor any other car and I'm there twice a day. I think they didn't research the need for those stations but what is to expect from Kamalas running the budget decisions?
Not since the Reagan Administration hollowed everything out. It has to hire contractors now.
And the contractors main thing is profit, not public service. You hand $7.5 billion to a private company, all you can do is hope it builds the charging stations.
Chances are, the money will go to corporate execs and shareholders first. Whatever's left might be used for a few charging stations.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

Millions in funds are gone before a spade touches the ground to make a hole.
More illustrious are people and their beliefs still. A black lady told me recently that the reason for decaying green spaces around the city of Detroit proper is white supremacy. This, even though black aristocracy is running Detroit affairs and occupying all administrative positions for decades. The wretched white supremacy is responsible for weeds taking over no less

Detroit's problem was created by white flight after the Great Migration. Black people came north to work in Detroit's auto plants; white auto workers didn't want to live in the same neighborhoods and fled to the suburbs.
When that wasn't far enough away, they built more suburbs and fled there.
You put that many houses on the market at once, property values crater and so does the city's tax base. From that point on, it no longer matters what racial group runs things. The city is circling the toilet bowl.
The Tea Party takeover of Michigan's government didn't help.

You have a budget to buy European luxury cars. Plenty of Maseratis around ghettos but not a buck to support a few flower beds in your neighborhood? Not to mention millions spent on lottery tickets every week.
Tons of utility work here, water companies got the money they needed to replace lead pipes in the drinking water supplies.

Of which I am one, thanks. No more co-pay for my blood pressure meds.
Allegheny County got a couple mill from the Infrastructure Act. The money is being used to build a motion picture studio and expand the Great Allegheny bike trail. The County also got money to make needed improvements to the four big County parks. We, the public, benefit.
Tax credits to offset health insurance premiums were expanded, at least through the end of next year. That's a big help to us since my wife won't qualify for Medicare until 2026.
I'd say those were all pluses.

What Medicare in 2026?
So let us stop talkin' falsely now, the hour's getting late --
Robert Allen Zimmerman
But that happens, there will be a major backlash. Not just from recipients but from medical practices. My PCP treats Medicare like a piggy bank.
I'm healthy as a horse. I'm going to get on bike and ride 35 miles tomorrow morning, but the doc always wants to send me for tests. Part of it is CYA but part of it is because Medicare pays for it and that's how medical practices roll these days.
My brother is still working, he's an RN, works for the West Virginia University Health System. The have staff meetings, never about patient care. Always about increasing revenue.

they were really keen on outlawing the purchase of gas cooktops!
