I would have thought they'd stay away from any form of steel, even stainless, given some of the experience posted here (refer to Al for details).My take on these outlets - and I'm a damn sight less experienced than you on my best day - is that grip is one part of the equation, vibration within the body is another, plating and polish is a third, but proper materials for sonics is a very big fourth item.
YOu have them in stock and I'm sure you've tried them. What do you think?
Meantime, I absolutely agree with you that the Furus are great outlets. I loved the old one; it's just been bested in my system by the Oyaide for now.
