Re: Let me know the sonic result when you get it.

A magnetic breaker is a circuit breaker that is installed in the main service panel. The low end models of breakers are garbage, but there are a few $60+ breakers that are exceptional and a must have to any true audiophile.

The manual reset switch in a power strip is really not what AL and I are talking about. Those items are a joke and offer zero protection.

What are you trying to protect the choke from? Do you live in a lightning area and need surge protection? I mean, unless you have lightbulbs blowing out all over the house, I doubt you have a voltage problem. If you need surge protection I highly suggest upgrading your breakers at the box to dual pole....adding a slow blow fuse or a reset switch isn't going to do squat for you. A magnetic surge is a huge amount of energy...and all that energy wants to do is move in one direction...away from the source (once lightning hits the ground the energy can travel over 1000 sq ft.)...and anything in it's path is gone. Keep in mind, unless the power transformer at the pole gets zapped (the only way a surge can effect the incoming service), the energy must be invited into the house via the grounding rod in the backyard. Surge energy 9 times out of 10 enters your house via the earth ground (grounding rod). It comes into a 120v service panel and splits between the earth and neutral conductors. The surge now enters everything you own via one or both of these conductors...welcome to unbalanced a/c.

If you need more info just drop me an e-mail.
