Yes, I tried a bunch of outlet covers with my old tweaked P&S outlets and they made a noticeable but not striking difference. It was appreciable every time, so I'm a cover buff.However, at $100K you'd better have a system that lets you know when you make even subtle changes! So were I you and had I the bucks, I'd swing right away for the WPZ from Oyaide to match the outlet.
I ended up DIYing something similar and can attest that the basic functional pieces (heavy aluminum for shielding and mechanical damping and carbon fiber for RFI control) definitely work and are worth it.
