If you liked the SED and didn't like the EH then you probably have a preference for warmer "tube-ier" sound. I would recommend you pair the EHs you apparently have on hand already with warmer front end tubes. Someone mentioned Mullard 12AU7s - those would be good. The 12AX7 in that case needs to be more neutral, like an LPS Sovtek.Or you can wait just a little bit until the supply of GT 12AX7M Mullard clones is back, and use one of those with a neutral 12AU7, like an RFT. That's likely to be less pricey than the Mullard 12AU7 plan.
