No, at the grids of the last 12AX7. No trick at all: just 4 x 20K pots, 10 turn preferred. The bias voltage "goes" to the cathode of the 12AX7, then gets direct-coupled to the grid of the 6L6.I think I posted all my mods (AC balance, CCS) in here.
