Measurements WERE done on the 6L6GC tubes for transconductance:) Got all the test measurements on each box.Regarding the 12BH7's: Funny thing you mention lower test results on the older versions. These old style RCA's all test lower than the "A" counterparts, and these old 12BH7's were the best 7 pairs out of an untouched box of 100. They were pretty consistent throughout the batch.....which led me to believe they were different somehow than the "A" version. My NOS "A" versions all test between 3600-4000 on the Hickock - the non "A" versions all come in around 3000-3100. I thought the non-A versions had a slightly lower voltage spec too, which is why I wanted clarification.
