ECC83/12AX7 and 5751 have somewhat different specifications. I believe the 5751 was actually designed as a 9 pin form of the 6SL7, and reportedly has somewhat less distortion than a typical 12AX7, but I wouldn't be surprised if that reversed for a given sample of each tube. The two tubes have sometimes been swapped for each other but it's probably anyone's guess as to how they will do in a given circuit. I'm talking about NOS here, it may be that the Sovtek is really a relabeled 12AX7, in which case you may well be better off trying other 12AX7s.
