No, sorry, I don't agree. A wise man once told me "you don't see is the same as you don't know". Same applies for me on this question ... you don't hear is the same as you don't know. I want to experience it for myself rather than rely on consensus. The only way to do this is to try as many different kinds in your own rig as possible and decide for yourself what's best based your own setup and musical preferences. I suppose that a magic decoder ring would be helpful for those that insist upon definitives, but where's the fun in that? If somebody told you along the way that there were shortcuts to tube Nirvana, they lied.
