regrettably, one cannot generalise the sound characteristics based on just the tube number itself due to make other "unaccounted" factors such as operating topology, electrical tube operating points, materials used in manufacturing process, etc.IMHO every single tube type, brand, etc. has a "sweet" spot and no 2 tubes of the same type shall have the same "spot", electrically speaking. Because of that, there is no way you can generalise the sonics based on 1 single operating point of a particular topology.
