I totally agree. It was a big surprise for me to hear a clear and coherent sound from my amp when I removed the GEC KT-88 and inserted the stock Svetanas! Perhaps, the GEC KT88 require a different bias setting but I did not receive an answer to my query which I mede here some time ago.
