The "reissue" TungSol 6550s are from New Sensor and they are a product of the Saratov, Russia plant.The =C= 6550C is rated for a higher plate dissipation than the TungSol "original". Which is better depends on a number of factors, including personal preferences.
Don't forget that an amp set up for 6550Cs can easily exceed the limits of the "orignal", which would lead to a SHORT service life.
