Which you'll prefer is very system and listener dependent. It also depends what other tubes you are using. For a more subdued top end use the SED. But one person's "subdued" is another's "slow and rolled off". For them, the Tung-Sol is a better choice.Also, Sovtek is not a tube maker, it's a brand of tubes. Tung-Sol reissues are part of the same family and IIRC are made in the same plant. But they aren't Sovteks.
