Ed,Well, I think it's guaranteed as you say, without sophisticated metallurgy- not to have a tremendous scientific use, but might be useful to try and understand conctruction details- the structure and realtionship of the parts, method of assembly etc. For those things, Radiance could probably learn quite a bit in general.
