I have a bunch of JJ power tubes, including the JJ E34L, and they are my tube of choice. Yes they are worth gettting, and no there isn't a problem with them. THAT may meet your conditions, especially since I have never had ANY problems with pin size, reliability, or anything else with the JJ power tubes. Incidently, even if it were a common situation, I would not consider pin diameter fit to be "problem or associated risk" that would be a disqualifying situation. Short tube life and spectacular light shows WOULD be such a risk, but I have never had that in any of my JJ tubes. I cannot say the same for other tubes which I have used.

I don't know that I would buy JJ tubes in such common types like some 9-pins such as the 12AU7, when alternatives that sound better are easily found in various NOS tubes.
