I've had them in quite a few amps and preamps over the years. They do many things right. They tend to be rather lush and full sounding with decent bass. The images are very fleshy, and the soundstage is good too. The downside is the treble is a tad weak. Also, as others have said, if your gear pushes its tubes really hard, they will will die prematurely, but that tends to be somewhat rare though.
