Thanks all of you for your replies.I bought a voltameter with small insulated hooks on the probe. You press a button at the top of the probe and the hooks come out. The issue with this probe is that removing the hooks is a problem as the hook does not come out easily. I have to twist and turn the probe at various angles to get the hook out if you konw what I mean. I am scared of pulling out the resistor from its connection or touching something in the bargain while removing the hook.
That's why I asked this question. What sort of probes do you'll use? Normal pins, alligator clips (small insulated alligator clips not available out here) etc.
