safest way of biasing an amplifier internally

203.199.48.200

I got my amplifier biased from an experienced technician a few days back and he charged me a ransom for same. I am growing to believe that I will have to bias my amplifier myself going forward.

The amplifier (Cayin 88T) has to be biased internally by measuring the voltage across the cathode resistors. My question is what is the safest way of attaching the voltmeter probes to the resistors to measure the voltage so that I don't get zapped or damage the amp? What sort of probes do you'll use?

I have read that one hand should be kept behind while biasing. How does one connect the two probes (positive & negative) with only one hand?

Are there any other safety instructions.

Thanks for your help.
