RE: Implementing Full Range drivers

Many people use 8" full range drivers in rear loaded horns or transmission line enclosers with a tweeter. these sound really nice when done right. Also many people will use a large 12" or even 15" on an open baffle with a full range. Ever hear of pure audio project? they have some model open baffle using two 15" Eminence drivers with an 8" Tang Band full range per baffle. Also Lii Audio they make 8" 10" 12" 15" and 18" full range drivers they also offer cabinet plans for their drivers and many people mount them in an open baffle. I recently heard a very impressive speaker that used a 10" woofer in a transmission line enclosure with a markaudio 6" full range and an AMT tweeter.

Do you want your speaker to have a passive crossover, or do you plan on running it active? systems using full range drivers sound best when designed right they are hard to beat.

The great Nelson Pass built a slot loaded open baffle and he used Tang Band 8" full range in his build Nelson created the first slot loaded open baffle in 1974.

There are so many builds using full range drivers I am sure I have forgot a few. almost forgot Audio nirvana full range drivers they also offer cabinet plans for all their drivers.
