I'm fairly certain that all foam surrounds from that era have disintegrated! It's the nature of the foams used at the time.
"Can anyone tell me how to identify the Advent speaker models?"
If that's what you really want, I can't help you. But, if you're open to other ideas, I have a couple. But first, a question:
What is the story with the tweeter in the pic? It looks like it's missing most of its dome. Or, is that just bad lighting? Moving on...
If you have a few hours to spare, making a mess on the kitchen table or wherever, and getting the right glue, and hoping that all goes well, and that the spiders are a-ok, go for it. But if you want to keep it easy and sort of quick, just buy new woofers which have similar characteristics and size. Fortunately, your existing woofers only have four scrrews, so you have plenty of rotation available to you.
If the tweeters are also in bad shape, and you like the cabinets, you might want to consider replacing the drivers and the crossover and just use the cabs. Madisound.com probably has a couple of options for doing this.
I "get" the whole nostalgia thing, and if that's what you want to keep, fine. But there are also very good - much better than the Advents - small speakers today, for about $500 - $600 a pair, or less. Speaker design has come a long way since the '70s and '80s!
