if you're looking SPECIFICALLY for funny raps... you might like"the humpty dance" which featured the line
"i like the girls with the boom
i once got busy in a burger king bathroom""rappin duke" in which someone pretending to be john wayne does a corny rap like the duke might have done himself
"we drink old gold" which is a spoof of the rap "i know you got soul", but it loses it's appeal REAL fast
there were a TON of "roxanne roxanne" raps, replies and counters one mid 80s year including "roxanne's dad's mad" *shudder*
"jam on it" is mildly funny. the end of "jam on revenge" is kind of funny when you here them making fun of grandmaster flash with munckin voices, but you'd have to be familiar with the grandmaster flash song to get the ribbing.
"the fat boys" tried to do more upbeat and mildly funny raps
a little bit newer, "special ed" had some witty and clever raps that bordered on funny
"oh you think you're tough cookie?
i think you better call your bookie
cause you can bet your life
i'm a play ya like hooky""two live crew" did some funny stuff, but they did x rated raps. they're most famous for "me so horny"
for new raps, you've had to hear slim shady's
"hi... my name is... what? my name is chicka chicka slim shady"
rap which is pretty funny and just a couple of years old.the art of noise was just instrumental, but their earliest material (get DAFT which has most of their best stuff) was pretty funky and had a sense of humer eg the song "who's afraid of the art of noise" which features a british woman saying "can i say something" throughout the song and in snippets with laughter over wierd sounds. it's a very wierd and trippy track that cracked me up the first time i heard it.
if you want a nasty track that's downright hysterical, you might try to find a song called "she's a skeezer" i believe which includes the line:
"and when it comes to gettin' some of that good thing
you can have it your like it was burger king"
but there's some really nasty lines in it. very funny thoughthere were literally a ton of hip hop novelty records that tried to be funny with varying degrees of success eg. "the peewee herman dance" but if you're looking for silly stuff... definately look into the stupid fresh tracks i listed.
stupid fresh is very upbeat and bouncy with alot of silly sound effects and vocals that's hard to describe. imagine alvin and the chipmonks and 1950s TV announcers over playful, even cutesy (but funky) beats.
