The BEST CD player under $8000! And look on Audiogon for people selling it because it's Chinese and they think it can't be worth more (how sad and how silly) for just $1800 or less. I picked up mine for just $1600!!! Holy Cow!

It's so musical, so non grating, that you'll want to play disc after disc, I do!. Soundstage is deep and wide (I've read others who did not think so and I think it's other parts of their system that is not bringing out this aspect). Vocals sound so real you swear you're listening to him/her singing in the studio or whatever the original ambiance was. If there's well recorded bass in the CD, the Droplet WILL reproduce it. It won't create bass where there was no bass, so it's pretty neutral for a tube output player.

Size and shape of the unit has nothing to do with great sound quality. Those who dismiss this incredible player because of those attributes have lost out. Do yourself a favor and audition this player in your system, you won't regret it. I'm off the CD player merry go round. You could be too. Consonance is one of the best hi end audio companies there is out there right now, look out for them. Amazing!
