The remarks of Upgrade Company regarding aftermarket clocks are a gross generalization. Of many mods to my CDP, replacing the stock clock made the single greatest improvement. Three generations of Superclocks have been in this CDP; each represented an audible improvement over the last. There seems to be no dimishing return on vanishingly low levels of jitter. All my CDP mods were done incrementally and benchmarked in listening tests to a vinyl front end.
