Cougar,
It's weird you'd mention Harmonic Technologies, as I came away from the usual IC's | SCs | PCs being regulated to be used with Naim Audio integrated amps where I starting in 1984-2021, and only came into buying other brands more seriously in 2001, starting with an entire H. T. Truth-Link IC's | Pro 11+ SCs | PC set, and purchased a pair of their then Pro Silway MK ll's ( pure silver ) IC's, in 2009, to be used as a Tonearm cable on a WTL Amadeus GTA MK ll, only to come away thinking both them | a pair of Auditorium 23 SCs were the most muffled sound I had ( and have ) experienced to date.
And while said SCs did in fact sound wonderfully on Shindo Labs amplification of which they were primarily built around, with some brands of amps, the magic didn't come through, shortly there afterwards I began using the Synergistic Research Tricon IC's ( silver matrix ) around February of 2010, which were in fact just right, as the old Goldilocks | The Three Bears movie goes.
I also came to the whole concept behind Rhodium Plated Copper connectors rather late | Thanks to both Judith | Jon L., I bit the bullet and just recently started re-terminated every cable or cord with either the set screw types from Viborg | Monosaudio | Furutech ( clones ) and can't look back, even gold plated copper types have been avoided. I've read where many felt rhodium sounded off, yet my ears now tell me much much differently, and once again, logically they're here to stay.
