Hi.While I won't argue with you which type of wires sounds better, I would not braid up many fine magnet wires to build a thick speaker cable, too tedeous to hold them in shape. Besides magnetic wires are commonly not OFHC pure copper, how good can be the sound vs 99.9999% OFHC pure copper, the ideal speaker cable. Have you actually compared technically & sonically ???
Given better choice, I would not use CAT5e, a LAN data cable, for signal cables.
Sonically, conductor goes before insulation dielectric. There are ways of building interconnects & speaker cables to make them airtight each end to seal off moisture. Your worry is unfounded.
A silver wires supplier even stated silver oxides forms a protective
skin on the pure silver wire & does not affect the sound.Given so many otber better choics, magnet wires would be my last choice for full spectrum signal transfer as I can't yet find any crucial signal transfer data of those enamals used to coat the maget wries. Why do I want to guess & hope they will work out W/O any technical data to support them????
