To start with you are going to have much less B+ voltage.Critical current for a 5hy choke at about 300 volts is 60ma. You would need at least a 20hy choke if you are only drawing 15ma.
I too like the sound of choke input power supplies, they have much better voltage regulation, but you will need a bigger choke.
